This policy covers webwrangler.dev and the work we do for clients. It explains what we collect, why, who else touches it, and how to make us delete it.
1. What we collect
| What | When |
|---|---|
| Your name, business name, email, phone number, website or domain | When you fill in the booking form |
| Project details — the package you want, your budget range, your timeline, and what you describe wanting built | When you fill in the booking form |
| Your business address | Only if you give it to us for a contract or invoice |
| Files you send us — logos, photos, documents, copy | When you use our upload page or email them |
| Payment records — what you paid, when, and the last four digits of the card | When you pay an invoice or deposit |
| Emails and messages you send us | When you write to us |
2. What we deliberately don't collect
This part matters, so it gets its own section.
- We never see your full card number. Card details go straight to our payment processor. They never reach our systems.
- We don't use Google Analytics, Facebook pixels, or advertising trackers. There are none on this site.
- We don't build a profile of you. Our visitor counter adds one to a number for the day. It does not record your IP address, your location, your device, or which pages you looked at, and it cannot tell one visitor from another.
- We don't sell, rent, or trade your information. Not to anyone, not ever.
- We don't set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
3. Why we hold it
- To answer your enquiry and give you a quote.
- To build, deliver, and launch your website.
- To invoice you and keep proper records of what was paid.
- To keep in touch about your project while it's running.
- To meet tax and accounting obligations.
We don't add you to a marketing list because you enquired. If we ever start a newsletter, you'll have to ask for it.
4. Who else handles it
Running a studio means using other companies' tools. Each one only gets what it needs to do its job:
| Who | What they handle |
|---|---|
| Our form provider | Delivers your booking form submission to our inbox |
| Our payment processor | Takes card payments and holds the card details we never see |
| Our hosting and storage provider | Runs this website and stores files you upload |
| Our database provider | Stores project, invoice, and client records |
| Our email provider | Carries messages between us |
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it's necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
If you choose ongoing site care from Upkept, that is a separate business with its own privacy policy and its own relationship with you. We pass across only what's needed to set you up, and only if you've asked us to.
5. Your customers' information is yours, not ours
We don't monitor, use, or mine your visitors' data. If we can technically see it while fixing something for you, we treat it as confidential and leave it alone.
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that never become projects: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Client project records and files: for the life of the working relationship and a reasonable period after, so we can support what we built.
- Invoices and payment records: as long as tax and accounting rules require.
- Backups may hold copies for a short period after deletion, and are overwritten in the ordinary course.
7. Keeping it safe
Access to client records is password-protected and limited to the studio. Payments and the website run over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, and we won't pretend otherwise — but we don't hold card numbers, which removes the most valuable thing an attacker could want.
8. What you can ask us to do
Write to webwrangler11@gmail.com and you can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you;
- correct anything that's wrong;
- delete it, where we're not required to keep it for tax or legal reasons;
- send you a copy of the files and content associated with your project.
We'll respond within 30 days. There's no charge.
9. Children
This is a service sold to businesses. It isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we'll delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. Meaningful changes to what we collect or who we share it with will be described here rather than slipped in quietly.
11. Contact
